Life With LuLu – Our Star During the Oscars

The STAR has arrived!

As we retired to our bedroom last night and laid there we heard the sounds of The Sleepasnorous … our bundle of bulldog.  The snoring created such laughter for the both of us!  It’s really like having an elderly person living downstairs.  Should anyone decide to bust the door open – BEWARE – there’s a big old bulldog lying there.  She’s such a trip.  The snores reverb off the hard floors and make their way upstairs in full volume.  Her sounds, including her snores indicate to me she’s one happy puppy with little on her mind.  What I wouldn’t give ya know?

It is the weekend here and as the other ladies in the house prepare for the 83rd Annual Academy Awards so does LuLu lying on the floor by the couch where Bonnie and Logan are munching on organic popcorn.  She sits patiently waiting for a piece to drop to the floor.

While the stars walk the red carpet – our star lies in wait on the brown rug which consumes the majority of the living room receiving lovable pets from Logan.  The weather here is really choice today but LuLu wanted no part of it with respects to a walk.  I guess she too is waiting for the Oscars.

I’m making Rye Beer Bread this afternoon – it’s my first attempt at baking bread in nearly 20 years so we’re all crossing our fingers.  The Lu-dog is a big fan of bread so we’ll see how things work out.

We’re pulling for The Fighter tonight but like my attempt to get LuLu outside for a walk today … I think the bell has already rung on my wishes for Christian Bale to walk away with an Oscar for his incredible role as Irish Dicky Eklund.  Three cheers to the real deal back there in Lowell, MA.
